Cinema Workshop

Oreshene village, Municipality. Yablanitsa, region Lovech
town of Krichim, Region Plovdiv
Selanovtsi village, Oryahovo municipality, region Vratsa

About the workshop

The direct target group (children and youth with a focus on Roma) gets involved in interesting initiatives, such as creative workshops (in performing and applied arts) and cinema workshops for creating their own short films. Children will learn how films are made, going through the entire process with the experts. They will have the opportunity to make the stories they screen their own, to represent their culture, through a child’s view, to a wider audience.

In order to ensure sustainability, the films will be distributed free of charge at least 5 years after the completion of the project on the platform for short films of the partner organization (noblink.bg), as well as on the channels of the leading organization. The activities include professionals and amateurs in the respective fields, representatives of the Roma ethnic group and other groups in the country.

The main cinema expert is Stefani Raicheva – she has many years of experience in cinema and in working with children. There are 4 short films, two of them with children in the lead role. He is currently working on his first feature film – again a children’s story.
